PERFORMANCE

Best-in-Class Towing, Payload and Power

When it comes to being best-in-class Ram 2500 and 3500 are it. Ram 3500 offers best-in-class towing capability of up to 37,090 lbs. while Ram 2500 boasts up to 20,000 lbs. of towing capability when properly equipped. 

When it comes to payload, Ram 3500 is rated for 7,680 lbs. Ram 2500 and 3500 are real powerhouses, with 1,075 of torque when equipped with the available 6.7L Cummins® engine. Even gas-powered Ram 2500 and 3500 equipped with the 6.4L HEMI® V8 generate 410 horsepower and 429 lb.-ft. of torque, best-in-class for a standard gas-powered engine. Both eight speed and six-speed automatic transmissions are available, depending on engine pairing. 

SRW or DRW

While all Ram 2500 models are only available in SRW, Ram 3500 brings the additional strength and capability of DRW. 

 

EXTERIOR

Big Rig Inspired 

The Ram 2500 three-quarter ton and 3500 one-ton start with a distinctive design. Over twenty years ago, we revolutionized pickup truck design by crafting the look of a long nose over the highway truck onto the cab. That design remains today as Ram’s look – tall nose with a huge grille, lower-set fenders with headlamp clusters on each one, and a bumper that’s bold and highly functional. The Heavy Duty comes in three cab configurations – Regular two-door, Crew Cab four-door with room for up to six adults inside, and the largest cab ever offered in a pickup – the Mega Cab. Depending on the cab, there is a choice of bed sizes, starting with six-foot-four inches to eight feet long, stretched over three wheelbases. And Ram 3500s can be equipped with a dual rear wheel set-up. 

To offset the load, the Ram Heavy Duty has a three-link front suspension connected to a 50 KSI steel frame. These may not mean anything unless the job calls for a big towing job or a big haul to be done. The heavy-duty Ram 2500 and 3500 truck offers the only coil-spring rear suspension in the business for the smoothest ride possible regardless of load. An auto-leveling air suspension is also available, making lowering the bed for easier trailer hook-up. For added storage and convenience, the class-exclusive Ram Box storage system. A Ram Box on each side of the bed eliminates the need for a third-party box and enables quicker and lockable space for the tools of the trade. 

INTERIOR

Part of being the best truck in the business is having the best cab in the business. Ram truck’s interiors have always been high quality regardless of trim level. A big steering wheel frames one of the most comprehensive instrument clusters around with features like available Trailer Light Check and Off-Road pages.  An available digital rearview mirror features a real-time video stream utilizing rear-facing camera, a real boon when towing. And a new air filtration system helps filter out up to 95% of dust, smoke and droplets. 

Seating and Storage

From practical vinyl seating surfaces in Tradesman® and BigHorn® models to cloth seats and luxurious two-tone leather heated and ventilated seats, Ram 2500 and 3500 offer seating that makes sense. Front and rear bench seats mean seating for up to six passengers, front bucket seats and a reclining rear bench translate into an SUV-like interior for higher trim levels. Limited owners will enjoy real wood accents, leather seats and touches of aluminum.

Touchscreens and Telematics 

Ram 2500 and 3500, Uconnect 5C with a 12-inch touchscreen and a 4G Wi-Fi hotspot has settings for up to five unique users. It’s the largest in its class and features an oversized color readout and easy access touchscreen functions. Drivers can live hands-free with the accessible phone and audio system switch on the steering wheel. Best of all, the available Uconnect 5C supports both Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto®, enabling you to listen to text messages and bring your favorite music, podcasts, and books along for the ride. 

An available 750-watt 17-speaker Harman Kardon Sound System is offered on Ram 2500 Power Wagon.

Ram Heavy Duty Trucks offer numerous safety and security features not commonly found in heavy-duty pickup trucks. Depending on trim level, Ram 2500 and 3500 are available with 15 degree turning headlamps, 360-degree Surround View Camera with Trailer Reverse Guidance that allows you to view both sides of your truck and trailer, and an LED Trailer Hitch Light.
